I need a Social Media Content writer and Strategist

We have recently acquired a new client who works in the veterinary pharmaceutical field. As a result, we need 2 part time social media copywriter who will be responsible for creating compelling content for this client. The role As the Social Media Copywriter, you will have the overall goal and responsibility to create new, interesting and compelling social content (Twitter, FB, Blog, Newsletter, Instagram, etc,) related to the veterinary pharmaceutical field. This will also be in line with our client’s objectives and the overall goals of the marketing team. You must be based in the USA. A veterinary background is ideal but not a deal breaker as you will be working with a team of experts within that field but you must be creative and an excellent writer. Required candidate The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background in the veterinary pharmaceutical field. A medical or pharmaceutical background would also be desirable. The candidate must also be self-motivated, demonstrate a strong interest in this field and possess excellent English verbal/written communication skills. This position offers the opportunity for a broad spectrum of responsibility in various content formats. We also require you to have a natural curiosity and a determination to always do your best. The role Support the development of the social and campaign calendars by: • Creating written, error-free campaign content consistently in accordance with brand voice, social media insight, and strong understanding of content optimisation • Executing and supporting multiple, concurrent social media strategies that is unique to each channel and its audience • Liaising with Yazor Yazor and other creative teams to create optimised social media content. • Adhere to Writer’s Guidelines and Copy Style Guide; make suggestions to enhance the living document as necessary • Report on weekly social analytics; propose clear testing and action items from these learnings • Foster a deep understanding of competitive set and industry, follow trends and make recommendations based on evolving best practices • Complete other special projects and assignments as requested Experience: • 2- 3+ years experience writing in this field or the medical/pharmaceutical industry • ability to draft technical information, incorporate data, compile reports, understand relevance, and explain company strategy from executive sight • experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat essential • ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with thoroughness and precision in the fastest of environments • adaptable to changing circumstances, direction and strategy • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification is strongly desired • 2-3+ years experience in social content creation and execution • Online communication experience, as well as written and verbal • Experience with a social media platforms such as Buddy Media, Radian6, Adobe Social, SocialFlow, TweetDeck, HootSuite or Seesmic; social listening platform experience a plus • Possesses a thorough understanding of hashtags, usage, emoji inclusion, and the nuances of social writing • Google Analytics or Site Catalyst and SEO experience is a plus • Photo editing and vector-based illustration training is desirable • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills To apply: • Please submit your resume together with a brief cover letter and include the following in the message box: - Why are you interested in working for a brand within the veterinary pharmaceutical field?
