Your job is rejected! Reason:

I need a "look" and website for a contemporary art exhibition

Industry: Art and Design Kind of design: Custom website Num. of web pages: 6 Description of every page: Title: Out There, Out Where, Outside We need a contemporary, simple website that can be modified/updated by the curators. We have bought the domain: outthereexhibition.com, but this needs to be activated and optimised for search engines. The following information should be included on pages: • Home: summary information that can double as an e-vite plus a navigation bar to the other pages (probably at the top of the page). The "look/logo" would be needed in .ai, .pdf, and .jpg formats to use on other materials. • About page: Exhibition summary including copy of excerpt from Beckett's poem (would provide); link to downloadable press release in .PDF format; sponsors’ logos at bottom; social media links • Artist Page: Link to each exhibiting artist’s own website (opening in separate window) with 1 image per artist (6-8) (list attached) and short text on each • Press Page (this may be deleted – make it hide-able): Press release downloadable in .pdf; ability to upload links to press coverage (holding paper attached); space to upload event photos • Visit page: Location; dates/contact information/map – click through to Google/public transport routes – click to TFL? • Sponsors Page: Page of thank you and sponsors' logos • Links to instagram/pinterest/facebook: widget standard on every page(?) Ideas for the visual style: The type should be bold and modern, but could also hint to the location of the exhibition which is in a stately home. It should be one-colour only (and printable in B&W). We believe that an old map of the area might make a good artwork around which to base the design as we do not want to use any single image from the artists involved. Things to avoid: The design/logo should not play heavily on the single word “out” as we feel this will give an LGBT reading that is not addressed in the exhibition. Website url: outthereexhibition.com Website information: Contemporary art exhibition at Boston Manor House Extra notes: Background information on the exhibition to inform the design follows: Out There, Out Where, Outside is an artist-curated exhibition, featuring 6-8 emerging and established artists, including painting, sculpture, photography and video. It will take place in the 17th century setting of Boston Manor House in Brentford, West London. The space, its architecture and atmosphere are ideally suited for a contemporary art exhibition, with its relative emptiness and wealth of period details: a blank canvas with links to a fascinating past. The exhibition will present artists whose work reflects the notion of the unseen and the unwritten. The exhibition takes its title from a poem by Samuel Beckett and explores the ways in which contemporary artists move beyond the literal to convey a sense of the unsaid - just as Boston Manor House offers just a few clues, leaving visitors to imagine its history since 1623. Information for Main Page : Title: Out There, Out Where, Outside Contemporary Art at Boston Manor House 14 September – 14 October 2017 Artists: Ailbhe Nì Bhriain Matthew Burrows Sarah Dwyer Ana Catarina Pereira Robert Rush Constance Slaughter (Sponsors logos to follow) www.outthereexhibition.com Open Thursday to Sunday : 12 noon to 5pm Boston Manor House, Boston Manor Road, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 9JX
