We need a writer to assemble a 20-30 page report with accompanying slide deck.

Topic: Digital economy and jobs Tone: Formal/Professional Extensive research needed: no Extra notes: We are a new association that is developing evidence-based solutions for the digital world of tomorrow. We want to create a compelling piece of thought leadership, expressed in a 20-25 page report and a 30-40 slide deck for keynote speeches. We already have a unique perspective, an outline structure and insights. But we lack the time and the deep skill to do the copy writing. What we need is someone who: -Has some technical knowledge of the digital economy, including robotics and AI, and its social impacts. -Has produced past reports and slide decks that are engaging. -Can mould material into message-conscious content. -Able to work with content that is technical in nature (economics, technology). -Able to fill gaps through interview and desk research. Our key audience is: Executive leaders in big technology companies. Senior policy makers who consider the impacts of technology like AI and automation. Foundations and other funders who are worried about those impacts The output will be successful if: -It provides a distillation of our current thinking. -Provides a basis for our founder to be invited to speak at key conferences. -When people from those key audiences read it they want to get in touch and explore getting involved. Able to be ‘sold in’ to trade media. In terms of format, we want the thought leadership to be in two forms: first, a report and then a slide deck that encapsulates it for keynote speeches. We believe it will need a couple of compelling viewpoints and shareable infographics. We anticipate the person will: -Gather the existing insights from Foundation founders through interviews, and read most relevant reports. -Identify any gaps in the research base. -Fill those gaps through desk research. -Write the report, using the identified structure as a starting point. -Convert into a slide deck (we will be working with a powerpoint specialist to ensure that the deck is in presentation form, so the exercise here is primarily about the content and flow of the deck). We are keen to have this report as soon as possible.
