Create the business plan(s) for each of the businesses – sign off with stakeholders. 3. Evaluate the current performance of business from sales, through margin, to individual profit centre… can we have a look at the numbers in detail with the accountant? 4. Identify the skills of your key people, along with their development requirements. Make sure these are aligned to the business objectives. 5. Sales and marketing create your CVO’s – Customer Value Optimisation – sales funnels for each business. 6. Appraise the current web sites, customer journey and ecommerce opportunities. 7. Get the manufacturers on board at the right margins through super professional presentations and hard commercial negotiation 8. Explore ‘drop ship’ opportunities 9. Streamline and automate the sales /order process so we can scale quickly without too much overhead 10. Daily / weekly sales reporting
