Website Project Manager

General information for the business: Inbound marketing firm specializing in social media management, website design and branding. Geographical areas: United States Target customers: Medium-sized businesses Description of Business Development: Clever Dog Creative is seeking a Project Manager to primarily manage multiple website projects, but also e-mail newsletters, blogging, branding and graphic design projects. This is a freelance position, on a per-project basis. Additional work to be awarded to well-performing hires. The ideal candidate will be passionate about organization, with experience in creating workflows for teams to complete projects on time. The ideal candidate will also have CSS and PHP experience to be able to pinch-hit small tweaks to website projects while managing a team of website contributors including designers, graphic artists and writers. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Set up and assign tasks associated with any new projects for Clever Dog within our CRM. -Serve as the liaison between client and Clever Dog staff for managing deadlines, project files and other project needs. -Participate in and facilitate weekly and monthly touchpoint calls with clients, subcontractors and company ownership. -Identify opportunities to improve current processes or implement processes/reduce costs. -Make independent design decisions for some aspects of the website based upon client's customized branding document to ensure the final product matches brand standards. -Occasionally alter CSS and problem-solve for adding/removing customized features. -Manage website team including: Developer, Writer, Graphic artist SKILLS & ABILITIES: -Extremely well organized. -Critical eye for process and design details. -Exceptional time management skills. -Stellar communication skills. -Min. 5 years previous experience in website development. Clever Dog Creative is a digital marketing firm that works with a variety of creative freelancers for projects. The Creative Project Manager should be able to also contribute creative ideas, direction and input on the project throughout the process. Individuals must be reliable and organized, able to meet deadlines and have strong communication skills. WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a work-from-home position. Candidate must be available during standard business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST) for regular phone calls with clients and Clever Dog staff.
